Crowns
Partial Replacement of teeth
When a significant portion of the tooth has been destroyed by cavities or trauma the filling materials cannot restore the original strength of the tooth. This is when we need to use a ‘cap’ or ‘crown’. We use the remaining root and tooth structure as a core around which such a ‘cap’ or ‘crown’ is made. This replacement will look as good and sometimes even better than the original as the minor problem of alignment, shape, or color can be corrected with such a replacement. As with the simple repair of teeth, we can perform this work without causing significant discomfort.
